Summer Party Appetizers

Summer is the time for picnics, outdoor BBQs and pool parties. Of course this also means it’s the time for summertime cooking. Over on RecipeLion, we have a number of great summer grilling and dessert recipes. But when you’re entertaining, sometimes you just want to throw together a platter of passable appetizers and get out of the kitchen. So we have collected some of our favorite summer party appetizer recipes; these recipes are quick and easy to throw together for company, or great any time you need to munch.

Baked Stuffed Mushrooms – This recipe is a guaranteed crowd pleaser and will be a favorite of all mushroom lovers. The cheese and spinach stuffing is held together in a tasty mushroom cap cup. A delightful appetizer choice.

Chevre Toasts – Goat cheese is creamy and mild-flavored when a few weeks old, it becomes crumbly and sharper tasting as it matures. Try making these toasts with a younger cheese and sprinkle them with fresh herbs and edible flowers. This is a great passable appetizer.

Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes – A great no-cook summer appetizer treat. This light tuna salad takes these cherry tomatoes to another level. These are a great appetizer for a dinner group or even as a quick summertime lunch with the ladies. Everyone will love this low-fat, low-sodium recipe.

Another good idea are round crackers with a little caprese salad on top. I like to layer a slice of mozzarella, a circle of tomato and piece of basil. It’s cruncy, sweet, and creamy all in one bite.
