How to Make Tender Pork Chops: 11 Easy Pork Chop Recipes

Posted by Matt on June 16th, 2009 at 03:18pm

The craving hit me at around two in the afternoon today. All of a sudden, I clutched my stomach and started drooling on my keyboard. I was hungry, but for more than a snack or a sandwich. No, I needed something to assuage my deepest culinary desires. I needed pork chops.

I always felt like pork chops got a bad rap. They lack chicken’s inexpensive and versatile reputation and beef’s rich and hearty reputation. Well, it’s high time we dispel those old reputations friends, because the stove top is on and I got some pork chops to cook.

Basil Baked Chops for Two

To me, nothing’s more romantic than a well-cooked pork chop. What can I say, I’m easy to please.

Easy Zucchini Pork Chops

This recipe literally could not be any simpler. Plus, the zucchini brings out a nice subtle sweetness in the pork.

San Francisco Chops

Take a twirl in the Bay Area with this saucy number. I would volunteer to be sent to Alcatraz if that meant I had to eat this easy pork chop recipe all day.

Pork in Milk

This recipe is not rabbi approved. The title does sound a bit off-putting initially, but the creaminess of the milk pairs surprisingly well with pork.

Ginger Ale Pork Chops

As a child, I could only drink ginger ale if I was sick or if I was flying. Not sure how that happened, but unfortunately I have some bad taste associations with the beverage. However, as soon as I tried this dish, I completely changed my mind. Perhaps it will change yours too.

Pork Chops with Guinness Stout and Onion Gravy

Yes, I am including another pork chop/liquid recipe. Oh well. At least this one has beer in it. The hearty depth of a nice stout in this dish livens up the chop.

Green Chili Pork Chops

Sometimes, I simply want subtle flavors to compliment the pork chop so I can taste its succulent goodness. Other times, I want to rock my taste buds with so much intense flavor that it leaves me crying. This recipe is for those other times.

Island Barbecue Pork Chops

I have never been to Hawaii, but every time I think about Hawaii I think about roast pig at a luau. This recipe is my way to kicking it Hawaiian style.

Fruit & Nut Stuffed Pork Chops

For some reason, pork pairs better with sweet ingredients more than any other type of meat. Don’t believe me? Well, give this recipe a try then.

Italian Stuffed Pork Chops

I love stuffed meats. I always thought it was such a novel way to completely surround the meat with flavor. Taste this simple stuffed pork chop recipe and you’ll understand where I’m coming from regarding stuffing.

Spicy Honey Glazed Pork Chops

If spicy goes well with pork chops, and if sweet goes well too, then naturally spicy and sweet combined goes well with pork chops. My logic may be flawed, but this dish is not.
