Football Fan Foodie

I’ve been a huge football fan since college. It’s actually quite an exciting sport if you actually know the rules! So with that said, fall is one of my favorite times because of football and all the fun parties that go with it. This weekend is a big weekend for my favorite teams – the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Bears!! My alma mater, Iowa, will take on their arch rivals, the Iowa State Cyclones this Saturday. And then the BIG game this Sunday will be the Chicago Bears vs. the Green Bay Packers – and I shouldn’t really have to explain that rivalry. Enough said.

As far as parties go, no good football game can be enjoyed solo! Football, food, friends, fun… they all go hand in hand. This weekend, we’ll be trying out the 6-foot Party Sandwich for our friends who love the cold cuts. I’ve also been dying for an excuse to make these Cheesy Spinach Triangles and I’m pretty sure they’ll be a big hit. With all the football games to watch, I won’t have a ton of time to prepare, so I’m going to finish off with these awesome Choco-Coco No-Bake Cookies for dessert.
