Breakfast Ideas That Are Not Boring

At my house our weekday breakfasts are simple — my husband and I don’t really eat, or we grab a frozen thing to bring to work — but we make sure the kids eat. Well, the 34-month-old, anyway (the small one is just a baby, no cooking or table food needed). My older son has found that he really loves a breakfast that I like a lot too: Take a whole grain waffle (we happen to like Eggos at our house) and toast it. Spread creamy peanut butter and sprinkle on cinnamon sugar. That’s my son’s favorite part, he loves to do the sprinkling. He enjoys it with a cup of milk and gets a healthy start to his day.

This weekend, though, we were looking to find something different to make for breakfast. We managed to narrow it down to a few, but by the time we did, it was already past breakfast. We’ll pick one of these to make next weekend, though.
